Diamond Classification Guide

The main factors for diamond classification are so called 4 Cs which are: Colour, Carat (Weight), Clarity and Cut.

Discover the importance of these values to determine its quality and what to consider when choosing a diamond.

To classify the colour of a diamond an alphabetical scale is used. This ranges from the letter D which is colourless and the most precious, up to Z which is the yellowest.

The weight of a diamond is measured in carats.
Two diamonds of the same canning can have different values.

The purity of a diamond is analysed with a 10x magnifying glass to determine the number of imperfections or small inclusions that occur within the diamond. The clearer the stone, the more light will enter its interior and the more flashes it will produce.

Diamond carving is one of the most important factors because it determines the reflection in the facets of the diamond, allowing it to flash and shine. Every diamond is carved very carefully to highlight the beauty of its shape.

Then, Cassandra uses that sketch to craft the piece of jewellery and the end result is a truly bespoke and original piece of jewellery.
